17. February 2023VW displays full-scale T2 camper van built from Lego
At the start of the season, Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge Oldtimer presents two stars from the world of kids' toys at the Bremen Classic Motorshow 2023. A 1962 T1, which was the model for the Playmobil toy camper van, and probably the world's largest camper built from Lego. In Hall 5 the experts from Hanover share a stand with Audi Tradition, Volkswagen Classic and Autostadt. Visitors will be transported back to their childhood, when the toy and model cars inspired their first automotive dreams. The stand in Bremen hosts probably the world's largest LEGO® camper van. A full-scale T2 camper van made from 400,000 bricks. Just a brick's-throw away is the later response from Playmobil. During a visit to Hanover, Playmobil product designers discovered the T1 camper van "Henrik the Red" built in 1962. They were immediately inspired, and their version of the vehicle has been delighting (not only) kids in toy shops since 2021.
