They're big, powerful and elegant despite their size: The luxury saloon cars of the pre-war era. Visitors to the Bremen Classic Motorshow from Friday can look forward to two especially exclusive models and one big surprise from the 1930s. The Cadillac 452 V16, the General Motors flagship in the years before the Second World War, is sure to be a sensation at the stand of Schuppen 1 in Hall 5. Almost equally impressive is the Horch 853 A. It was built in 1939 as the third-last of its type and can be seen in Hall 6 as the central feature of the Drivers Lounge. Possibly the best way to take time to appreciate the beauty of the Horch is during a whiskey-tasting session! There's also a surprise exhibit marking the 100th anniversary of MG: an MG SA dating from 1937 on display in Hall 6. But the car is no sporty roadster. Experts will already know what to expect, but for most visitors the size of the MG SA will probably come as a surprise. The SA was MG's top model and in England it competed with Jaguar in the luxury car segment.
