25. January 2024Large presentation in the Motorcycle Hall: Organisers hoping for one last item!
The team is looking for a motorbike for young newcomers to practice working on. Classic & Custom Bikes, run by Michael Silbermann, is keen to help recruit a new generation of fans. The group plans to offer youngsters a chance in the Mirror Hall to get to grips with the nuts and bolts of a classic bike under the guidance of experienced bikers. Anybody who wants to support the project and can supply an old motorbike, if possible free of charge, is welcome to contact Michael Silbermann on 0170/9122901.
Apart from the practice bike still to be sourced, two-wheeler fans can look forward to a huge range of exhibits to admire and buy. Fond memories are sure to be awakened by 23 "small motorised bicycles" - the official, clunky name for the 50-cc mopeds of the 1960s and 1970s. At the special show "Class 4: Freedom Unleashed", many visitors will recall wild adventures and the freedom opened up by the small, Class-4 mopeds.
Directly next to the special show, around 40 two-wheelers will be on sale, from historic bikes to 1,000-cc motorcycles. Potential buyers will be spoiled for choice!
Furthermore, the many exhibitors in the ÖVB-Arena, the Motorbike Hall, will offer a huge selection ranging from spare parts to complete motorcycles and scooters. As always, the foyer of Hall 1 will be dedicated to exhibitors of classic models: MV Agusta, the Classic British Bike Club, the Norton Owners Club, the racers from M.S.G Weserland run by Hinni Hinck, the Oldtimerclub Norddeutschland and the Z-Stammtisch with its Kawasakis. At the entrance to Hall 1, Hercules Wankel IG will present exhibits to celebrate the centenary of the Wankel engine.
Once again, as in 2020 and 2023, the Mirror Hall with its huge, south-facing window façade will host the custom bike enthusiasts. Around 30 bikes from the community in North-West Germany will be displayed.
In total, 130 two-wheelers will be on show, most of them available to buy!
