6. December 2023LANCIA – TECHNICALLY GROUNDBREAKING, SUCCESSFUL ON THE RACETRACK
Visitors to the Bremen Classic Motorshow from 2 to 4 February 2024 can look forward to ten iconic Lancia automobiles spanning the over 100-year history of the legendary Turin-based car manufacturer. The Lancia models from the 1920s to the 1960s, which were ahead of their time in engineering terms as well as winners of many races between 1974 and 1994, will be on show in Hall 5: a magnificent selection unlikely to be repeated!
Lambda and Astura models will represent the two decades before the Second World War. Above all the 1923 Lambda illustrates why Lancia was considered the gold standard for engineering. With its independent front suspension and hydraulic shock absorbers, the Lambda was the first vehicle with a self-supporting body.
Equipped with a range of technical innovations, the Aurelia (from 1950) and the Flaminia (from 1957) were named after historic roads. The stars and starlets of the 1950s and 1960s were always keen to be photographed at the wheel of these two models.
Also on display in Bremen will be a Stratos and a road version of the 037. Lancias in the rally versions Stratos HF and the technically upgraded Rally 037 cleaned up many brand world championship trophies. Walter Röhrl declared the 037 his favourite model. Even today, the Lancia Delta Integrale that will be on show in Bremen is considered the most successful rally car of all time. Driven by various pilots, it won the brand world championship six times in a row.
