T2: Among the very few with a Porsche engine

It is one of the first, and one of a very few of its kind: the 1975 T2 that received a brand new identity in 1984. The striking look with Audi 200 double headlamps and chrome steel rims for the balloon tyres already makes the T2 an exceptional model. In addition, experts may have identified the deep-violet VW as one of the extremely rare T2s with a Porsche 911/47 engine in the rear. But the real sensation is that the vehicle is up for sale in Hall 6 of the Bremen Classic Motorshow 2024! The T2 will be on display at the Young Generation stand, together with a number of high-powered classic cars. It fits in well, with its 174-hp engine that packs a massive punch to reach over 200 km/h. Today's owner of the VW with the Porsche engine spotted it for the first time in 1996 at a tuning meet-up in Hockenheim. Then he saw it in a film he was watching with some colleagues in his own VW camper van. Right from the start, he was impressed by the performance of the one-off vehicle. Since its conversion in 1984, the T2 has remained unchanged. The complete documentation of the vehicle's history will also be available in Bremen. Last September, a couple hired the T2 for their wedding, when they took it for a high-speed spin with the roof open. Naturally, the newlyweds were squashed together on the rear seat for the entire drive!
